The "Bergische Land" belongs to the oldest industrial and economic regions of Europe and was always a significant area for textile production. The textile industry had already gained an international reputation in the 19th century for the manufacture of highest quality products.

In 1933, Richard Friedrich Hermann Halbach laid the cornerstone for our family business in Remscheid, today conducted in the third generation by the Halbachs.
