The right approach to packaging

Packaging is necessary for the protection of raw materials or finished products. Once this packaging has fulfilled its purpose, we take care of disposal, reuse and recycling. Because packaging is not classed as rubbish and needs to be separated for further use.

The packaging regulations of the EU Packaging Directive provide clear instructions here, which we naturally adhere to.
In order to satisfy all requirements Halbach has joined forces with Zentek GmbH & Co. KG, a company that offers sector-specific, optimised and certified solutions for packaging disposal and recycling. Membership means that manufacturers and distributors of packaging are able to safely fulfil their disposal obligations.

We are obliged to invoice our customers for the costs of packaging disposal and recycling, dependent upon the weight of the respective packaging.
From small rolls to plastic covers and on to large cardboard boxes, Halbach weighs each form of packaging and lists it accordingly.
The individual items are added together to form the total packaging volume for each of our deliveries of goods – transparent and comprehensible for our customers.
